How It Started

Fido Fixers was developed in 2012 by Lisa Wysocki and Suzanne Steinberg after they became increasingly frustrated with the seemingly never-ending supply of unwanted pets in high-kill shelters, especially in the Southeastern part of the United States. Lisa and Suzanne were convinced that the most important action they could take to end the loss of life was to begin a spay and neuter program in the communities with the worst dog and cat overpopulation problems. Lisa and Suzanne became convinced that the most important action they could take to try to end this senseless abuse and loss of life and was to begin a spay and neuter program in the communities with the worst dog and cat overpopulation problems.

How It’s Going

Now a proud program of Providence Animal Center, Fido Fixers has performed over 160,000 surgeries nationwide. In 2024, founder Lisa Wysocki retired and entrusted the program to PAC to continue her legacy. Our fleet of mobile vans continues to serve high-need areas with spay/neuter and more!

What You Can Do To Help

Your donation is urgently needed to keep our mobile clinics on the road and save more lives. Every dollar directly supports spay/neuter surgeries for pets in need – even a $50 gift can spay/neuter a dog or cat, preventing dozens of unwanted puppies or kittens.
